Anya's Grotto on Pont Street opens on 7 November at £65 for an adult and child. Chelsea Theatre's runs 8 and 9 December, £15 a child or £5 for local residents.
There are two Santa’s grottos in Kensington and Chelsea with dates and prices published so far, and they could hardly be more different. Anya’s Grotto, on Pont Street, runs from Saturday 7 November to Thursday 24 December and costs £65 for one adult and one child. Chelsea Theatre, on the World’s End estate, opens its grotto for two afternoons, Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 December, at £15 a child, or £5 for World’s End and Cremorne residents.
If you would rather not pay at all, the nearest free grotto is just over the borough line at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, from 19 November.

Anya’s Grotto, Pont Street
Anya Hindmarch’s grotto is in The Village Hall at 11 Pont Street, part of what the designer calls Anya’s Village. Children follow Father Christmas through “a wonderland of crunchy snow, twinkling baubles and icicle caves”, ending with a festive story by the fire, according to the ticket page.
- Dates: 7 November to 24 December 2026
- Length: up to 30 minutes, recommended for ages 2 to 8
- Price: £65 for one adult and one child; each additional adult or child is £45. Prices exclude booking and transaction fees
- Gift: included for each child with a ticket. Babies under 12 months can go in without a ticket but do not get a gift unless one is bought
- Group size: nine people per slot
- Booking: online only, in advance. Sessions start on the hour and do not wait for latecomers; a missed slot is not refunded or rearranged
Two rules catch people out. Adults must come with a child: single adults are not admitted. And no dogs or other pets are allowed in. Cadogan’s Christmas in Chelsea programme lists the grotto and adds that Festive Tea starts in the Anya Cafe from 2 November.
Chelsea Theatre, World’s End
The cheaper option is at Chelsea Theatre, 7 World’s End Place, SW10 0DR, on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 December, 2pm to 6pm (Chelsea Theatre).
- Price: £15 a child; £5 a child for World’s End and Cremorne residents. Adults do not need a ticket
- Slots: ten minutes, with up to three children per slot. For more than three, book neighbouring slots
- Gift: one per child, and a chance of a photo with Father Christmas
- Adults: up to four can go in with each group, and children must be with an adult
- Arrival: at least ten minutes before your slot
Spaces are limited and the theatre asks for advance booking; its box office is on 0207 352 1967. The same theatre stages the Rah Rah Theatre Company pantomime on the three Sundays around it, 6, 13 and 20 December; our panto page has the times.
The free one: Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Strictly this is Westminster, but for most of Kensington it is the closest. Winter Wonderland’s Santa’s Grotto in Santa Land is free, open 10am to 6pm, and cannot be booked: it runs first come, first served, and on busy days the queue may be closed early. Children get a present, and you may meet Mrs Claus too (Hyde Park Winter Wonderland). The event runs from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Our ice rink page covers its skating prices.
What has not been announced
- Kensington High Street. Last year Opportunity Kensington put a free Santa’s grotto in its Kensington Vintage Winter Market on Phillimore Walk on Saturday 29 November 2025 (High Street Kensington). On 18 October its markets calendar listed only the regular Big Kensington Flea Market on Saturday 28 November, with no grotto. We will add it if it returns.
- Harrods. The Knightsbridge store’s Christmas pages block automated checks, so we cannot confirm its grotto dates or prices from Harrods itself, and we are not repeating them second hand.
- Chelsea Winter Village. The village at the Royal Hospital, open from 25 November, lists a market, rides, a curling club and a light trail, but no grotto (Chelsea Winter Village). Our Christmas markets page has the detail.
Getting there
Pont Street is a short walk from Sloane Square and Knightsbridge stations. Chelsea Theatre is at the World’s End, western end of the King’s Road, best reached by bus. If you are driving, read our page on parking in Kensington and Chelsea first, and check roadworks and travel for closures in the week you go.
What we checked, and when
Every date and price above was read on 18 October 2026 from the organisers’ own pages: Anya Hindmarch’s Ticket Tailor booking page, Cadogan’s Christmas in Chelsea programme, Chelsea Theatre’s grotto page and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland’s grotto page. Grottos sell out, so book from the links rather than turning up.
